Will the 14313-2 locker fit on a 2020 gladiator sport with max tow axles (rear)

Yes, the EATON 14313-2 Eaton ELocker Differential Jeep JL/JT Dana 44 M210 / M220 32 Spline 1.41 Axle Shaft Dia. will fit the rear axle of a 2020 Jeep Gladiator Sport equipped with the Max Tow package.

Can you recommend a 35 spline axle kit to go with this locker - not sure what axle lengths are needed?

Yes, to match the EATON 14313-2 35-spline locker, you will need a complete 35-spline rear axle shaft kit built specifically for the M220 Dana 44 axle in your Jeep Wrangler JL or Gladiator JT.
The most recommended direct-fit options include:
Jeep Wrangler JL Non-Rubicon 35 Spline 4340 Chromoly Rear Axle Kit Revolution Gear: A complete, direct-fit bolt-in chromoly axle kit designed specifically for non-Rubicon JL M220 housings running a 35-spline aftermarket locker upgrade (includes bearings, seals, and wheel studs pressed on).
Jeep Wrangler JL and Gladiator Wide Track 35 Spline 4340 Chromoly Rear Axle Kit Revolution Gear: Designed for wider track-width setups or Gladiator JT applications requiring 35-spline upgraded shafts.
Regarding Axle Lengths:
You do not need to measure or custom-order individual lengths. Complete vehicle-specific aftermarket axle kits (like those from Revolution Gear & Axle) are manufactured out-of-the-box to the exact factory housing lengths, flange offsets, and bearing seat positions for the M220 housing. You simply select the kit matched to your exact vehicle model (JL vs. JT) and axle width.

Does the 14313-2 work on the front Rubicon JT axels also? Or this there a different locker for the front?

No, the Eaton 14313-2 Dana 44 (M220) Electronic Locker is designed specifically for rear M220 axles and will not fit the front axle of a Rubicon JT. The front axle on a Rubicon Gladiator JT uses a Dana 44 M210 wide front axle housing, which requires a different front-specific locker part number.

Is there a difference between the front and rear lockers for Dana 44’s?

Yes, there are significant differences between front and rear Dana 44 differentials, meaning you generally cannot interchange lockers between the front and rear axles.
Key Differences Between Front and Rear Dana 44 Lockers:
Spline Count & Axle Shaft Diameter: Front and rear axles often use different spline counts and shaft thicknesses. For example, on many modern Jeep Wrangler JL/JT models, a non-Rubicon rear axle utilizes a robust 35-spline setup (requiring units like the Eaton 14313-2 Dana 44 M220 Locker, whereas front axles typically feature smaller 32-spline or 30-spline shafts.
Housing and Carrier Geometry: Front and rear differential carrier cases are engineered differently to fit within distinct axle housing shapes (such as the high-pinion front versus low-pinion rear configurations, or differences in M210 front vs. M220 rear housings in newer JL/JTs).
Rotation and Loading: Front differentials experience varying forces and dual-purpose steering loads compared to rear drive-heavy axles, which impacts how internal gears and locking mechanisms are housed.

What is the difference between the Eaton 14234-1 "Electric" locker and the Eaton 14313-2 "Electronic" locker?

They are the same locker design, just the 14234-1 application is designed for Non Rubicon models. 14313-2 is an option for those with Rubicon that has 35 spline axles as opposed to 32 spline axles the Non Rubicon models are equipped with. Sorry for any confusion.
