Reviews for Lynx Performance Extended Brake Hoses for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK with 0-4" Lift
Great change and addition, easy to install.
Excellent lines with a noticeable improvement in pedal feel. I bought these for my 2015 Rubicon with a 3.5" AEV lift. I didn't like how the axle mounts are deleted from the stock rubber hoses so I ordered these up. While they are longer than the original hoses, I found they were still pretty tight on full suspension droop even when used along with the AEV frame side brake line drop brackets. My Rubicon does have a lot of droop travel so it may not be an issue with everyone but something to consider. All and all I'm very happy. I really like how they retain the stock mounting tabs and ABS wire clips so everything is neatly kept out of harm under the Jeep.
The good:
Overall quality is good, and I think the fact that they have the right mounts/brackets to fit the stock location is worth its weight in gold. The rears are perfect, fit is perfect and length is perfect.
The bad:
Seems like the bare minimum amount of hose length for the fronts. Also, the bracket was not placed properly for the driver-side hose. Had to mark it up to pry it open and cramp it shut. The distance from the bracket to the hard line was exactly the same length as stock, it’s this side that needs the extra inches for the lift. All the extra inches were given to the caliper side.
I have a 3 inch alpine teraflex lift and these hoses were a bit tight in the front, I will probably order the longer ones and see if those are too long.
So 3 stars because it’s what I want overall but a bit on the short side and had to do some manual adjustments to the axle mounting bracket to help it fit more comfortably.
I'm a bit disappointed with these hoses. The description states constructed with stainless steel but the hardline ends are steel. Strong attraction with a magnet. Was hoping for all stainless since that's what the description indicated. Wish I would have checked them before the Jeep was on the lift and I already removed the old hoses.
