Will these 9” wide rims fit on a 255/75/17 tire?

Most tire manufacturers list the approved rim width range for a 255/75R17 tire as 6.5 to 8.5 inches. While a 9-inch wheel is only half an inch over the typical "book" maximum, mounting a 255mm tire (roughly 10 inches wide) on a 9-inch rim will result in a "stretched" look.

On a jk, how large of a tire can you put on these wheels?

The widest tire we'd recommend on them is a 12.5". For the height of the tire, there are a lot of other factors to consider, but you'd be able to choose a variety of sizes based on how much side wall you want and need.
