i installed this on my jku but i am confused on what camera i can install that will plug into aftermarket wiring, My jku has a small 4 prong plug that was installed with a bullet style camera but i cannot see my hitch with it

The DV8 Offroad Camera Extension you installed is specifically designed for the Jeep Wrangler JL (2018-2025). If you have installed this on a Jeep Wrangler JKU (2007-2018), you may encounter compatibility issues because the wiring harnesses and camera mounting depths differ significantly between the JK and JL generations.
The "small 4-prong plug" you described is standard for many aftermarket CMOS/CCD bullet cameras. However, these are generic and usually do not offer the wide-angle or downward-tilted view needed to see a trailer hitch. To see your hitch, you need a camera with a wide-angle lens (at least 150-170 degrees) and a tilting mount.
Possible option
SummitView Rear Vision Back Up Camera System for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK with Factory Nav Radio

Is it compatible with any model factory tire carrier, like the found on the Sport or Sahara Models?

No, the DV8 TCJL-EXT Camera Extension is designed for Rubicon X or JL models with the Xtreme Recon tire package. It is not compatible with the factory tire carrier on standard Sport or Sahara models.
