Is this the plastic “L” shaped piece, the seal, or both?
The Fairchild Industries D4085 is the rubber weatherstrip seal only. It does not include the plastic "L-shaped" retainer.

Actual Location: This seal mounts directly to the top edge of the tailgate (the metal body of the vehicle where the bottom of the glass hatch closes and rests when shut).
