Reviews for Rugged Ridge Replacement Carpet for 76-95 Jeep CJ-7 & Wrangler YJ
Worked fine. Good quality. Needed to make a few more cuts than expected but overall very good
The quality really isn't bad on this product. It is very expensive in my opinion. It came with a few separate pieces that lay into place overlapping each other. It also came with adhesive spray which really came in handy and worked well. I choose to take my time with the rug and install the seat hardware through the rug which took time to get right but I think it came out great. Overall it's ok but all of the options for rugs are just that, just ok.. Not great but functional for a 30+ year old jeep. One great thing it has done is that it has reduced heat transfer from the floor pan into the passenger compartment as well as noise. The insulation that is attached is very helpful with this. I would say that the cost that this is would be better justified if the holes for all hardware was cut for already. Depending on what you are planning on doing with your Jeep I would really consider if this is a worth while purchase.
I found this to be of very poor quality and fit, but after much effort I was able to make it work at least temporarily until I purchase another carpet from a better manufacturer. I do not recommend this product but I will say this is the first time I have been dissapointed with any purchase from Quadretec.
Cheap poorly made product. I spent a long time trying to make it look good. You really can’t. It isnt close to being formed right, there is about 3” of extra material going over the transmission tunnel. No way to make that look good.
The rear fenders of a jeep are square. Big, flat sides- only one funky triangle gusset at the front edge and a taper down into the front of the tub... And the kit apparently can't get the simplest of measurements right.
The carpet is cut just about an inch too long in both directions on the fenders- and it looks like a twelve year old wearing his dad's shirt.. There are a bunch of small ares where the carpet fibers are spaced too far apart and it looks threadbare.
Look... I'm not just being picky- I'd gladly spend double this price or triple this price to find a kit that is measured and cut properly and even at $300, I don't expect perfection. I also don't expect to waste $300- and that's what this one is.
