I have a 2000 Jeep Wrangler Sport. I have a few questions regarding the TrailMax II front seat:
1) In comparison to the TrailMax II Sport, (which is more money and appears to Recline, does the regular TrailMax move bend forward? If not, can it still be used on the sliders that come standard with the Jeep? And if it can be used on the sliders is it safe to say that because the seat will not bend forward, there will be less room for passengers to get into the back seat area?
2) Which brackets are required for seat installation? Once the brackets are attached and the new TrailMax seat is installed, how much higher or lower will the seat be than the stock seat?<br>

The Bestop TrailMax II Standard (Part #3943601) is a rugged, entry-level seat, but it has significant functional differences compared to the TrailMax II Sport that will impact your rear-seat access and installation.
1. Does it move or bend forward? No. The TrailMax II Standard is a stationary high-back seat, meaning the seat back is fixed in a permanent position. Unlike the "Sport" or "Pro" versions, it does not recline and does not fold forward.
2. Can it be used on factory sliders? Yes, but with caveats depending on your Jeep's year:
1997–2002 TJ: You must use a Bestop Seat Adapter Bracket (Part #51256-01) to mount these seats to your factory sliders.
2003–2006 TJ: These years require a specific Bestop Replacement Slider, as the factory 03-06 sliders are generally not compatible with the seat's mounting pattern (Part #51245-01 & #51248-01)
3. Will there be less room for rear passengers? Yes, significantly. Since the seat back is fixed and cannot tilt or fold forward, passengers will only have the space created by sliding the entire seat assembly forward on its tracks. In a two-door Jeep Wrangler, this makes climbing into the back seat very difficult, as you lose the "entry gap" usually created by the seat back folding toward the steering wheel.

do these move forward and backward? Are they adjustable backs? thanks

As long as you have the appropriate seat slider, they will move forward and backward. This is a fixed-back seat.

They fit both driver and passenger side, so quantity 2 if you are replacing both seats will be correct. Thanks for your inquiry.

With the adapters(I have a 2002 TJ) do these seats replace the existing seat brackets that attach the seats to the floor?

No brackets are included. The Trailmax seat in a 2002 TJ requires the stock seat bracket to be in place and add adapter bracket 97-02 Seat adapter bracket . Thanks for your inquiry.

What are the dimensions of these seats? I currently have the classic low back seats in my CJ5, they are tight but do fit. I would like the high back but am worried they'll be too big.

The seat bottom is 20” wide 23” deep and 5.25" tall. The seat back is 34" tall
