Great concept if tailgate never exposed to rain. The bags are not at even Slightly water resistant. 1 day of driving in light rain with top up and windows out soaked my repair manual, tools, and tie down straps. Even after 2 coats of waterproofing spray doesn't matter because zippers leak right through. I put items in heavy duty zip lock bags and placed inside pouches. Helped keep them dry- but defeats the purpose for easy storage if getting anything in and out of them is a nightmare.
Even if used with hard top, only take one time to need to open tailgate in the rain to ruin anything put in them.
Snaps all rusted also

Missing mounting screws. Then have to jump through hoops to get Smittybuilt to send them. Done with that company.
