Reviews for Smittybilt Front G.E.A.R. Seat Covers with Tailgate Cover for 97-06 Jeep Wrangler TJ & Unlimited
Nice so far .. I've installed the seat covers .. they are great
Absolutely love the added storage. Got room for every gadget under the sun, to the point of I forget where I put stuff. Seat cover could fit a little better, but it is universal not custom! All in all, LOVE IT!!!
Great idea. Cover is a little short in the seat portion, leaves some seat open for wear and tear and stains. Pockets are great but would be nice to purchase addtional sizes and more room for more pockets.
Installing underneath can not the best but it works. Good buy for the money.
Instructions would be nice. How hard can that be ???
I agree totally with the first review, I have had the exact same problems with these seat covers. They are advertised as resistant to fading which they are not.
I was really excited for these seat covers. I have a TJ and the one thing it lacked was storage place. I am writing this review after having them for a little over a year.I will list the failure of these seat covers first that way no one wastes time reading. 1) ACU camo turned PINK 2) Strings designed to install seat covers failed and allow the flaps to flop around in the wind 3) fabric is really cheap. pictures make you think its a nylon its JUNK! 4) Over priced for what you get. I went with the ACU camouflage choice mainly because tan clashed, black would be too hot. They are designed for Jeep's or at least advertised for them. So you would think that Smittybilt would know that they could be subjected to weather. The reason for this review is so I hope no one wastes their money. With in a few months i started seeing a change in color, the ACU went from green and tan-ish color to pink! My Jeep is maroon, everyone that saw my jeep thought I bought pink camo seat covers. and that was within the first few months. From there it was worse. The strings that were designed to hold the cover in place started to fail. This allowed the seat cover to move around and flop annoyingly in the wind. The fabric of the seat cover is very cheap. However, the idea of the seat covers is neat, i will give them that. I contacted Smittybilt about my issues since these seat covers are expensive, their lovely customer service declined to respond. So now i have removed the Pink Camo and have gone back to normal seats. Very disappointed customer...Stay Away!
