Very easy install. One of few brake light tire carrier combo kits to fit a budget. Could use a little more allowance for factory wheels with oversize tires. I'll probably have to do some shade tree adjusting to get the exact fit I want, but that's what budget parts are for. Would recommend.

I was able to mount a factory Winter edition JKU wheel with a 315/70r17 BFG KM2 tire on it with no issues. Just have to remove the factory center cap from the wheel. No noises and was easy to install.

Great product still going strong after 4 years without any issues. Only reason it isn't a 5 star review- when I received the product there was a manufacturing flaw. One of the mounting holes was drilled in the wrong spot. So quality control may be lacking from the factory.

Have been using the Smittybilt tire carrier on my 2016 JK for over 18 months. During this time, we have completed several overlanding trips. The longest being 10,400 miles. No issues at all with this tire carrier. No rattles and tire remains solidify in place, even after attaching RotoPax, Trasharoo and MaxxTrax. Would highly recommend this carrier for anyone running a larger tire that is on a budget.

I bought a temporary cheapy spacer for my oversized tire for a month and it worked fine but knew I needed to upgrade. This carrier was recommended by a local shop and I didn't want to spend a lot of $$. The fit is solid and really sits much closer than the spacer. The mount is super heavy duty especially compared to the plastic mount that was stock. There is no move on the tire and the spacers that came with this carrier made it flush to the tire. Giving 4 stars because you don't use lug nuts to place the tire onto the new carrier. Something about having a metal piece going into my expensive rim doesn't sit well. You also have to get a lock for this or else anyone can unscrew it off and take the tire in 10 seconds.
