Reviews for Performance Distributors Firepower Ignition Kit in for 07-11 Jeep Wrangler JK with 3.8L Engine
They worked great for about two years, but not even 50,000 miles later my distributor failed and threw a P0300 code that I spent a week diagnosing. Bottom-line, if it's just your daily driver, go with Mopar, Duralast, or Crown Automotive. I thought paying a little more for something built in the USA would give dividends down the road, but save yourself the trouble. Sincerely, Disappointed.
Right at the 2 year mark and I’m now misfiring. Went to check plugs and one of the livewires broke on me. Waste of money:/
Didn’t last long. The wires cracked and fell apart.
This ignition coil failed me after 2 years. I can’t say 100% that the coil itself is to blame as others have failed me in the past but I can’t say I ever noted any change in performance. I also had 1 of the wires come apart on me when I was checking my plugs. Save your money and buy a regular coil and wires.
Plug wires came apart after only two years of service in my JKU...wires have only a one year warranty. Performance distributors only offered to replace the wires if I paid for each individually. Failure was the result of poor quality wire crimps.
Not a single difference in performance should have spent half the money for a basic coil pack and new wires
