While the Quadratec Softbond 5-Layer Car Cover technically has two more layers of material than the 3-Layer version, the individual layers are made of very lightweight non-woven polypropylene. For a 2-door Jeep, the actual physical difference in material weight between the two is often less than a pound, causing both to fall into the same 8 lb shipping weight category.
