Can you remove the rear window only, or do sides need to be removed as well? If so, does the window roll up like a traditional soft top?
The short answer is that while you can physically remove the rear window by itself, it is not recommended for regular driving, and the window does not roll up like a traditional top.
The Trektop NX is a "frameless" or slantback style top. Because it lacks a rigid support structure in the rear, the side and rear windows work together to maintain the top's shape and tension.
Independent Removal: You can unzip the rear window and remove it while leaving the side panels in place. However, doing so at highway speeds can create a "parachute effect," where air enters the cabin and pulls upward on the roof fabric, potentially causing damage or excessive flapping.
The "Safari" Mode: For the best experience and proper ventilation, Bestop recommends removing all three windows (both sides and the rear) to convert the top into a Safari Bikini style.

Can the top be removed completely? I removed the rear seat from my TJ, and in the summer, I remove the soft top and install a tonneau cover over the back, to hide the contents. Can this top be used in conjunction with a tonneau cover?
Yes, the Bestop Trektop NX can be fully removed for summer use. However, it is not designed to work with a separate tonneau cover. The rear corners of the Trektop NX integrate into the body, so removing the soft top and replacing it with a tonneau cover may require additional components or modifications. Do you sell just the replacement windows and top? I don’t need the hardware as I am replacing an existing best top nx soft top (straps on my top ripped off due to heat and wear and tear)?

What is the difference between the Black Denim and the Black Diamond? Thanks!
Black Denim is the OE grain the the material and color for factory soft tops from 1988 until 2000 model year. In 2001 the factory soft top material thickness went to Sailcloth material and the texture of the material changed to black diamond. Black Denim name was still being used on Replace a Tops in 01-02. Bestop adopted the name Black Diamond on all of the products 2003 and above. Black Diamond has a little more shine to it, it holds it’s color a little better than traditional Black Denim. I constantly ride with the back window up on my current soft top so my dog has full access hanging his head out the back. After watching the install video is it possible to install without the rear window or keep it rolled up while installed?
