I read that it is a very direct replacement meaning no modifications to the existing enclosure or wiring necessary if one follows provided directions.

Wow ! Very happy with the bass with using Polk speakers .Better quality than the cheap paper stock subwoofer. Simple plug and play , fits my 2003 Jeep tj perfectly !
