Reviews for Smittybilt 791006 Clinometer II with Compass
Just like I had on my CJ5 back in the 70s.
Just a cheap way of knowing your angle. Not extremely accurate but put it on my nephews hotwheel and was a fun addition.
Exactly like the one I had on my '83 CJ-7. I'm all about retro but if you are picky about how something matches the interior of your vehicle I wouldn't slap this on a modern JK or JL.
Let's be real here. For $20, you're not going to get a high performance super accurate instrument. That said, if you just want something to stick on for a little functionality and look, you can't go wrong. I found the pitch and roll to seem to be fairly accurate, but only when not in motion. The compass seems to be functional, probably within a few degrees if not spot on. All in all, I feel satisfied with my purchase.
Picture made it appear much larger than it actually is. It’s a very compact unit, about 6”x3”. Double sided tape made install a snap.
Literally the biggest piece of junk I've ever purchased. Compass was off by about 45 degrees and the pitch & roll gauges were extremely jumpy.
