It worked great with the slight modifications that my year needed. This was made very clear when I purchased it so it wasn't a surprise at all.

Love the gear box. The steering is stiffer so make sure that's what you want for me that's what I was going for. There are some modifications I had to make to work on my 2006 LJ. I had to Notch out the back side of the grill. Next I had to bend the power steering lines so make sure you have a tubing bender. Then I had to shorten the lower steering shaft. And lastly I had to bring up the coolant tank about a half inch. It was a little more work than I expected but all in all I am happy with the product.

Same as Charles C,, mine didn't even last 9 months. This product is trash. Purchased in May 2018, total failure by February 2019. Certainly less than 10,000 miles. Leaking power steering fluid from the box until now not even maintaining functionality. ..nothing like loosing steering unexpectedly. I paired this with a $200 steering shaft to avoid all the modification headache; still, $575 for this piece of junk, plus a couple hundred to install it, for not even a year of driving on a dirt road (no actual off-roading)...can you really afford to believe the lies of this company?

Had this steering box installed on a 2004 TJ. Was definitely not a plug and play, had to shorten my lower steering shaft and buy new power steering lines and washer reservoir. Steering ended up being really tight and did not return to zero. AGR customer support was not helpful. Ended up returning the steering box and getting a brand new OEM steering box along with another lower steering shaft.

Avoid this product. The first one i got leaked fluid from the main shaft. Quadratec(excellent customer service for years) did honor a speedy replacement, but the second unit lost hydraulic function in under 500 miles. I will wait until Monday to see how it is resolved to update. In the meantime, I am still paying for two extra installs for a defective product. Pay extra for a manufacturer with good quality control.
