Reviews for CSF 3244 OE Style Replacement Radiator for 87-06 Jeep Wrangler YJ & TJ
Perfect fit. Easy install on 03 TJ Saraha. A retort to other review on similar radiator crown review: This one comes with automatic trans cooler inside and flanges but no plugs If you have a Manual Transmission Like I do, you can just ignore it. You don't need to plug the Trans cooler ports unless you plan to repurpose that feature later. I was confused at first thinking I would need to remove and find plugs. The fluids don't mix, obviously, that would be bad.
OEM replacement
Easy... fit rite... all bolt hole lined up
A+ Arrived well packaged. Fit was perfect. Quality is as advertised no complaints. Which is why Quadratec is my go to supplier of all my Jeep products.
Very similar to OEM. Bolts for the fan shield are not the same as original. Had to hunt down some M6 bolts.
Its an exact match to OEM size and materials. I had to replace my original 2001 4.0l 6cyl Stick radiator as it literally rusted off the frame. This one fits perfectly but be aware of a few things that are not clear in the descriptions. I have heard through forums that stock is best to go especially for price. Even though I read the reviews here multiple times I somehow managed to snap off the fan shroud welded on bolt nuts as the original screws don't fit this radiator. I found you need 6mm not 8mm bolts nuts and washers for attaching the fan shroud. You can re-use your existing radiator cap. If you have a Stick and need to plug the automatic transmission cooler line holes, you can try to harvest and reuse the originals from your radiator but unfortunately one of mine did not fit. It took a long time to find some sort of plug to fit. This is supposed to be a standard 5/16" size plug but its not. I eventually used a Dorman 1/4" generic plug that was a tight fit but fit. I am thinking some metric size plug just under 1/4" is your best option but I could not find one where I live and didn't want to order. Used 50/50 Zerex 05 coolant.
Overall remove and install took like maybe 2 hours and it was successful and jeep is back up and operating good as before. It looks great. I will update with use maybe in 6 months to see how it performs over time. hope this helps you.
Radiator install fairly easily with a minor problem. Fan housing bolts would not work to attach housing cover to the radiator. Luckily I had four 8 mm bolts that worked in the 4 holes. Based upon one of the previous reviews, I tested all of the bolts before installing.
It fits
I just received my order. I didn't know that the tanks were plastic. Make sure that you chase the holes for the shroud. They painted over the threads and it's a pain in A$$ to get the bolts back in. The plastic tanks make me nervous. Other than that, it went right in.
It does the job for a cheap price.
