Reviews for Precision Replacement Parts BWF610097 Header Opening Seal for 97-06 Jeep Wrangler TJ & Unlimited
This was a much needed replacement that I didn't know I needed. The rubber is thick and soft and makes an excellent seal. I had previously ordered a Crown replacement and found that it didn't not hold well with the double sided tape on it. For this one I removed all of the tape on it, cleaned it, applied adhesion promoter, then used half inch 3M VHB tape where the tape originally was and a little ways behind it. I then cleaned and used adhesion promoter on the top of the windshield. The results were excellent.
Fit perfectly and did the job. Worked great with voyager style tops.
Half the price and great seal. It fits perfect. I'm very pleased with it. Kind of self explanatory on how to install, but I've attached a video from the company that makes the seal. Might want to put it on your site.https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwj38a3Yn7_6AhV8LzQIHX1iDvAQwqsBegQIAxAB&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DiR0Hk2OCDeM&usg=AOvVaw2jFrm0bp0Cl9csX5sTVenl
Fitment was good, rubber soft as needed. overall, satisfied.
After awhile of figuring out how to put it on and using YouTube, it lessens the wind noise when driving down the highway. Always make sure it fits before taking the adhesive off so you don’t have to make adjustments later.
Easy install - perfect fit.
Fit nice but need to add adhesive as i learned from a previous one that actually came up from the windshield while driving. Second one added the adhesive and no issues
Easy install but over molded a bit. Sticks about 1/2in out past the windshield frame. Haven't drove in the rain yet see if it seals good
This was most definitely worth the money, however, I cannot give it a 5 star review because of the memory that the rubber had from the manufacturing & shipping process. It made for a difficult installation.
Really disappointed with this seal. As stated in another review, it sticks out well past the windscreen/hardtop joint, to the point where it looks silly. It’s also far too thick, meaning the front of my hardtop sits higher, causing it not to seal properly with my doors. It’s had plenty of time to settle and compress and it’s still way too thick. Will bin it and buy another brand. Waste of money and time.
