The Installation Instructions say you have to tap 5 guide holes. How difficult is this?
Tapping those 5 guide holes in the OMIX 17401.14 Aluminum Valve Cover can range from moderately easy to slightly challenging depending on your experience and the tools you have. Tapping these holes isn't inherently difficult, but it requires patience and proper technique. If you are unsure, consider watching some videos on how to tap threads by hand before you begin. Taking your time and using the right tools will greatly increase your chances of success.

This only fits 81-87 CJ and YJ applications. It will not fit the 88-90 4.2L YJ's.
