How does this wire up? Is the metal case a ground and the 2 wires are the low and hi speed? Or is the black wire a ground?

My 1976 Jeep CJ7 has factory switch and motor that requires 3 wires to operate. 1 black ground, 1 orange power(low speed), 1 red power(high speed). Im confused on how 1 power wire will operate correctly with factory switch? I don't believe my switch has a resistor in it to lower voltage for low speed.

This uses the OE switch to function.

Yes there is an internal resistor to control to variable speeds.
