Inferior rubber. I am on my second one. The rubber tears at the place on top where it wraps around the shifter. I put a zip tie on my second one. Although, I can still see the rubber cracking.

The rubber cracked and started disintegrating after 3 months, pretty surprising. Most Omix ada stuff is hit and miss.
