Reviews for Mopar 04861962AD Evap System Integrity Module Detector for 07-23 Jeep Wrangler JL & JK and 07-17 Compass and Patriot MK
Very simple to install and connect back up (no tools required). There is a locking tab that needs to pushed in at the bottom for part to rotate out. Looks identical to original part on 2010 Wrangler. I found my old one had cracked the plastic where the electrical connector comes out of the body.
I cut the old one open and it's a simple device. There is a large rubber/plastic diaphragm which pushes on a metal contact to close a switch to detect a vacuum. There is a couple of loose plastic parts which look like they act as check valves to prevent outside air being pulled into the fuel system.
Perfect fit, easy to change, hope it fixes my evap leak
Factory parts are the best most of the time.
Perfect fit.
Direct fit, does NOT come with the gasket
Exact replacement for factory. Now no more gas cap trouble light. Make sure you buy a new o ring to go with it.
Oem part was very easy to install. I strongly suggest you purchase a seal and leak detection hose as well.
My gas cap code on my dash prompted to me to change the gas cap first. I installed the Mopar cap, cleared the code and waited. The code reappeared. I read posts from this website and a couple of forums to help troubleshoot this problem. I then replaced this module detector and vapor canister seal and cleared the code again. This time, success! Easy install, great price and shipped fast. Very happy with Quadratec and their parts for my Jeep.
OEM part so it fit perfectly.
This is an OEM part so the star rating doesn't matter. I got this part to fix my gas cap/small evap leak error code on my 07 wrangler with 159k miles. It is extremely easy to replace, it took all of 3 minutes and I didn't need any tools. I don't know why it was assigned as a 2-hour job or intermediate. If it takes you 2 hours you did a lot of beer drinking somewhere in there.
