Reviews for Quadratec 03-06 Factory Styling Replacement Mirror Kit in Black for 87-18 Jeep Wrangler YJ, TJ, 18-21 JK, JL & JT with Aftermarket Tube Doors
Ordered these replacement mirrors because my factory mirrors were old.
Goal was to attach these to the Quadratec Mirror Relocation Bracket Kit.
The new mirrors “DID NOT” have the correct bolt to attach to the Relocation Bracket.
Used the old mirror and over tightened it.
Have to figure out how to replace bolt so I can use the old mirrors.
These mirrors will “NOT” work with the Quadratec Mirror Relocation Bracket Kit.
Bought these based on a review below stating that they fit a YJ. They do in fact fit but I had to use the factory bolts and factory plastic insert as a "crush washer" to get the mirrors solidly mounted. The bolts that come with are way too long. Got them mounted, took it for a drive and man are these things clear and easy to see what's out back with. At some point I'm going to fab a rubber gasket to replace the plastic part that I used from the factory mirrors. Other than that I have zero complaints about the quality and look of these.
Install was easy but the driver side mirror glass seems loose and vibrates around at idle and while moving making it difficult to see out of
slight image vibration but love the new style over the old
good looks, but if you plan to use while driving don't get to dizzy cause the mirrors themselves shakes like crazy. other then that no complaints
The mirrors look fine. But they were delivered without all of the correct mounting hardware.Screws were delivered but no nuts to attach them to the doors. Headed to Lowes for nuts.
They are inexpensive, less solid than my stock mirrors from my '98 TJ, and the mirrors shake significantly while driving down the road. My stock mirrors do not shake. I kept my stock mirrors as I might end up refinishing the metal and replacing these Quadratec plastic mirrors. I regret this purchase.
Easy install but there is allot of vibration that you can tell when driving.
Nice replacement over stock but the mirrors still shake going down the road. :-(
These are okay. I think they are cheaply made. One of them is fine and the other one is loose and moves way to easy. There is no adjustment for tightening them up
