Reviews for Quadratec QR3 Heavy Duty Side Steps for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK 2 Door
Look nice, sturdy. Needed a little tweeking to get the holes to line up.
I had a hard time to install mine.First, the screws provided didn’t fit, took me a while to figure out that I had to redo the threads. Secondly, the wholes on the drivers side didn’t lineup, I had to use a mallet and bent the brackets to line them up. Overall, I installed and I am happy. However, I am not happy with the response from the seller, I required a return label and it’s being 4 days and it’s not processed yet. Honestly, it’s my first time purchasing thru this site, and I am afraid to buy something else in the future and have a problem with the seller. The reason for three star is, the holes didn’t line up ( even though it worked after bending the brackets) and another star for the failure of the seller response.
I have this step installed for a few years. The plastic piece has cracked and fell off. Can those pieces be ordered? The bars are still effective just the plastic piece where you step on has corroded.
I purchased a 2007 JK 2dr with these side steps already installed. They appeared relatively new. The paint and step pads were shiny black. I live in Arizona and the Jeep is parked outside, but with some shade in the afternoon.
About a year after my purchase, the step pads disintegrated. I mean they simply crumbled into small bits. So I ordered replacements. Now two years later those have also disintegrated. And the paint has faded on both the steps and bumpers to a milky grey from black. I have kept polymer wax on the tubing, but it has made no difference. Clay bar, black restore, nothing fixes it.
My hardtop is factory black and has remained perfect, as are my mirrors, hinges and spare tire mount. Just the Nerf tubes fade.
Anyway, I am going to buy some after market diamond plate step pads, and repaint all of the tubes. But this is very disappointing to see..
Easier to step in the Jeep without them
