Reviews for Quadratec QRC Front Bumper for 87-06 Jeep Wrangler YJ, TJ & Unlimited

We bought this bumper and winch assembly when Quadratec had it on sale as a package deal.
Installed pretty easy, and looks great on a 98 TJ.
But, the proof of how good this product is, dictates why I am writing this review.
As some might know, teenage boys and a jeep, sometimes take curves a little fast. On this particular day, it caused the jeep to slide into a cement retaining wall, hitting the front right of the jeep, which the bumper took the initial impact. The resulting damage to the bumper was only a bent portion of the outer bumper, pushed back about 1". Although the front fender and grill were bent and pushed over to the drivers side a little. Also, the lower control arm on the axle was bent, as well as the control arm.
I do believe that this bumper prevented a much worse condition to the jeep, and probably helped in making a glancing impact instead of a full contact impact.
So, we are in process of the repairs, which I also believe, that without this bumper, it would have been a bent frame to deal with.
We buy these bumpers for preventing off-road mishaps, but sometimes they happen on-road.

Bumper arrived fast and install was a snap. Another quality item from quadratec.

I got this bumper when it went on sale for 199 in december. Since I can not have the same color as everyone elae I had it powder coated. It is a good bumper for the price.

Installed this bumper in the driveway in one hour from start to finish. It actually took more time installing the winch than the bumper.

Excellent bumper. makes the TJ look great. Just need a mounting plate and Winch to finish it up.
