Reviews for Quadratec Entry Guards for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
Looks great but adhesive lost its stick very quick, but thats an easy fix
Followed instructions and carefully cleaned door sills with alcohol. The sticky back tape didn't adhere to one door. Guess I'll have to run to Lowe's to pick up some industrial strength tape.
Other than that they look good on vehicle.
Nice but the rear guards are NOT FLUSH at the top area last couple inches towards front of vehicle and seem smaller than they could be. A bit disappointing.
I am very critical of this product. I purchased this because the product description and photos ,it appeared to cover the entire entry area. The area that was of most importantance to me was the inner threshold. It needs to cap the entire entry area. It is a good product and it does fit nicely but there is room for improvement in the design.
They need to be a little more deeper I guess s how you say it but never the less they work well better then having nothing there
I bought these because I thought they looked nice and would serve a function. They are good quality and look nice so no argument there. One down side I noticed: after installing them I began to get water in the jeep. wet floors. I racked my brain for months trying to figure out waht was going on. One day I looked around and noticed that the way these guards are installed, the water that runs down the inside of the door instead being routed outside, got diverted by these guards to the inside of the jeep. I tool them out as a test....no more water. Just an FYI
DO NOT put these on your jeep if you want to actually protect your paint.
These things do more damage to your paint then if you just left the doors with no guards. Since they are made of hard plastic and the entire thing is not adhered to the door, only attached by one little adhesive foam strip, dirt/rocks just go right underneath the thing, then literally scratch the paint right off. Any time someone stepped on one you can hear the dirt grinding against the door underneath. After about a year one fell off on its own and the paint is totally destroyed underneath. On top of that it takes about 30 minuets (for one door) to get all of the left over residue off from the foam strip.
Installed these the other day and followed the directions. My complaint is that I would have to slam the door pretty hard in order for it to fully close. The problem is the weather strip located at the bottom of the door. It will rub against the door guards when trying to shut the door. (Did a test using some chalk) This happens with both driver and front passenger doors. However, the rear doors are fine.
