The drone produced by this muffler is really really annoying. After driving on the highway for an hour or so you either want to shoot yourself or the jeep. After 4 months of living with it I replaced the muffler with a Flowmaster super HP2 muffler. I'm very satisfied with the result. A much more mellow sound and no interior resonance.

PROS - Gets rid of the bulky low hanging stock muffler and keeps everything up and tight to the body. CONS - WAYYYY TOO LOUD! This thing is like one notch down from running with muffler at all. At 3000 RPM it's DEAFENING inside the cabin and conversation without yelling is impossible. This was a great idea for clearance but the muffler design was poorly executed. Unless you want your Jeep sounding like a little fast n furious car with a coffee can sized resonator, you're NOT going to like this system. With the JKU especially where more room is available, this kit should have come with a longer, better designed muffler or at least it should come with a resonator to manage the excessive volume it produces. Would NOT recommend the pypes system to anyone with a Jeep.

Thrash leaked from day 1. Muffler broke 4 months after install. Pypes said I would have to spend more more to get another muffler!!! They can keep it I’ll spend my money elsewhere.
