Reviews for Quadratec 4 Bike Folding Bike Rack for 2" Receiver Hitch
This bike rack is legit! I bought it for use with my 2021 Jeep Wrangler. It clears the spare tire (I have a stock Rubicon, but it looks like it would easily clear a 35" tire). The assembly took just a couple of minutes, and it is rock solid on the Jeep. I used the tilt feature yesterday when leaving the mountain bike trail so that I could lower the top. It went down with easy, and locked back in place with ease. So far, I have only carried three bikes on it, but that was no problem. I could not see spending hundreds more for the other options unless you just wanted to look like you spent a lot of money on a bike rack.
Awesome hitch carrier . I am able to open the rear door and extremely sturdy. I used it a lot and carried 4 bikes, two adults and two kids mountain bikes. No issues.
My spare is too big so I had to get an extension. But it works fine I’m happy
This is probably one of the best purchases I made for my Jeep. We fit two adult and two kids bikes with no problem. As long as you tighten the receiver bolt, there are absolutely no rattles (even on unpaved roads). During the first use, it will take a little time making adjustments to figure out where each bracket needs to be secured on the rack and kids bike frames may be a little tight. I would give this a serious look before spending money on the big brands.
Excellent bike rack! Sturdy, well-built, easy to install and use.
Easy to put together and install. Sturdy construction, bikes fit no problem. Looking forward to many fun adventures!
Only complaint I wish it came with a lock that works with the ignition key.
Works great with 37" tire. I will highly recommend.
Works the way it’s intended and is easy to work with.
For those that are wondering, you can make this work if you have a 37x13.5R17 Spare on something like a Smittybilt XRC Tire Carrier.
The d-ring/loop on the back of the carrier has to be shaved off with an angle grinder, and even after that it’s a squeeze, but it’ll work.
I saw a lot of questions and no straight answers on “will 37”s work?” And like Quadratec says, it depends. But just wanted to let you know it is possible, and what my circumstances were.
Mud grapplers too btw, and they have a big sidewall
