Reviews for Quadratec AP-1302 Pet Barrier for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
Extremely disappointed as there was no support in this rack. Cheaply designed and very flimsy. I would not recommend this product. I was surprised Quadratec sold it. Long time customer
Good idea bad design bars move to easy dog move
This was not strong enough to keep my dogs in the back
If you set the barrier up at an angle to follow the angle of the back seat and to maximize space the barrier will fall down all the time. The only way to make it work is if the barrier is completely vertical but you end up losing space in the back when you do that. The construction is not very good either, many plastic parts.
Very fragile, dogs push right through it even after adding screws to try to hold bars from moving. Not sure what kind of toy dog this was designed to hold back.
Thought it would be a little stronger and would open wide enough to cover the whole cargo area.
It is bit of a compromise. My 60 lbs bird dog quickly pushed on it to re-arrange the cross bars and uprights. Solved that problem by drilling holes and using metal screws to lock down extensions and cross bars. No matter how tight I get the posts, my dog can dislodge them when ever he wants to. I still use the pet barrier but fool the dog by leaving the rear seat up. (Not a real smart dog.).
Not as well constructed as I would have hoped. Difficult to find a place to brace and the metal bottoms fall out.
This barrier didn't work well in my 2-door because the compression posts bear onto plastic roof which is too flexible. The barrier collapses when off-roading. I tried using various tricks like pieces of wood to spread the load, but the thing still falls apart when it gets bumpy. Maybe in a 4-door they bear onto the roll bar which would be a sturdier arrangement.
