Reviews for Quadratec 16116 0205 Dual Steering Stabilizer for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
I already have the hydro shocks on my jeep and I love them. I imagine these will be great for my 37" bump steer.
Does the trick! Keeps my Jeep from “wandering “ in the lane when driving. Cuts down on driving fatigue. NEVER use steering stabilizers to fix death wobble. Death wobble is caused by other worn front steering and suspension components. Fix those issues first. A steering stabilizer will only mask death wobble while the real issue gets worse.
Works and looks great
I damaged my stock stabilizer while rock crawling and got the "death wobble" on the way home. Installed this kit. High quality components including the brackets. Easy installation. No more death wobble.
Easy to install.Looks great. Helped get ride of my front end shimmy.
Easy install and much better driving feel over the factory unit. Installed right before I upgraded track bar bolts and had the wheels balanced and my jeep is much improved
Fits great handles the larger tires. Installation wasn’t to bad. Instructions could have been better.
I should have opened all reviews and read and I would have purchased a better quality set. I have the same problems as some of the others, I installed by the book insuring each torque was reached by cross torquing and clockwise torquing until all torques were reached with single pull. First drive started feeling a wabble and then the big wabble, stopped and checked and only had one nut left on the two u-bolts on center bracket. I have got it double nutted now and feel it working loose again, the bracket if made of soft material and will require tack welding to make sure not to loose control on our rough county roads. Do your research and buy a better set.
Complete junk!!! The bracket that bolts to the front axel comes loose all the time. After the third time tightening to the recommended torque specks It came loose again. So I decided to just tighten it more. As I tightened I could see the plate starting to bend so I stopped. Still came loose. So I ended up having a friend through a couple of tach welds on the plate so it stays in place. So basically if you do buy this dual steering stabilizer kit do yourself a favor. Tach weld the plate right away to save yourself headaches.
Had to replace after less than a year. Doesn't hold up. Center bracket is easily bent.
