Fixed my 'PART TIME' light on my 2002 jeep wrangler, which would randomly turn on and off while in 4WD. The swap took all of 5 minutes and doesn't require jacking up the car or removing anything, not sure why it took me so long to fix this. PSA>Don't forget to buy the $2 rubber seal with this as well, Crown Automotive part no. 4338956.

Deleted the cad on my YJ and swapped in this switch so the 4x4 light is controlled by the shift fork in the t case now. I now have a 4x4 light again.

Tried the dorman version of this for my 1998 Jeep Cherokee NP231 and it did not work. This crown auto version did work. Very happy and easy install.

Works as designed.

4wd light now magically appears on dash of 06 TJ after replacing this switch. Fairly easy to replace without removing skid plate other than the old switch being pretty stuck. I ordered the seal but one star for quadratec for failing to send it. I was able to reuse the O-ring from the old part.
