i have a 1991 yj wityh hard top and full doors what do i need to do to put half doors and soft uppers on and what parts do i need thank you
To switch your 1991 YJ from factory full steel doors and a hardtop to a setup with half doors and soft uppers, you need to address two primary obstacles: the shape of the door corners and the door latch mechanism.

Factory full steel doors use a rotary claw latch that clamps onto a thick, large-diameter latch striker bolted to your YJ's tub. The Bestop 2-Piece Doors use slim, classic steel latch pins.
The Parts Needed: You will need a set of Bestop Door Striker Brackets (Part #51251-01) or standard early-style CJ/YJ pin strikers. These bolt into the existing holes on your Jeep's B-pillar tub frame, replacing your bulky full-door strikers so the thin latch pins on the soft doors can catch securely.
3. Additional Parts Required for Lower Half Doors
If you are buying fabric upper doors to sit on top of factory-style lower steel half doors (instead of a complete fabric 2-piece door kit):
Lower Half Doors: A set of factory steel half doors or aftermarket equivalents (like Key Parts steel half door shells).
Door Hinge Inserts / Bushings: Ensure your lower hinges have intact plastic or brass inserts so the new door pins slide smoothly into your factory body hinges.
Upper Door Inserts: If using steel lower half doors, you will need the plastic grommets/inserts that press into the top rail of the lower door frame. The three vertical prongs of the soft upper doors slide directly down into these inserts.

Will these doors fit a 1991 Wrangler YJ with original hard top?
They are not the proper seal and fit for hardtop usage. The shape of the door opening is correct but Super door is designed for fit along with the Bestop Supertop or Supertop Sunrider. Leaks and slight draft may occur and weatherstrip may not seal right with factory and aftermarket hardtops. Thanks for your inquiry.

will these fit the rampage soft top for full steel doors I just installed?
Yes. Any top that has been designed for the full steel door equipped YJ models should also accept the 2 piece Super door set for a nice tight fit. Thanks for your inquiry.

What is the difference between 'black denim' and 'black'?
The black color Bestop code 01 is a darker leather grain and glossy type vinyl finish. Bestop black denim code 15 is also vinyl material, but has a faded denim appearance and is not as dark of a black. The 01 black was more commonly found on older CJ-7 Supertop's, 1987 YJ used an 01 Black top. 1988-1995 soft tops are Black denim in color but these doors are inly for the Supertop door frame area. will these doors fit with the "Rampage products 109435 Trail Top Soft Top with tinted windows in Black Diamond for 92-95 Jeep Wrangler YJ" if not which doors will fit for that particular top?
Unfortunately using a rounded contour upper door option will leave a small gap when used with a top designed for half steel doors with a factory soft upper door. The squared off factory upper doors will fit without the small gap. Factory style soft upper door set Thanks for your inquiry.

Will these doors work with the Bestop Bikini Top, Windjammer & Duster Deck Cover Combo?
Yes, but there are gaps in the door frame area and this is not at all a weather tight solution. They will work with one another though.

Yes, if they are being used on a 87-95 YJ or a CJ that is equipped with the nader pin style DOT door latch hardware. It would not be correct for wedge style latches earlier CJ's use for door hardware. If a nader pin is not present, the following version of the doors should be used. 2 piece Super door set CJ7

No, these have a rounded upper corner. They will only fit with the Bestop Supertop or Sunrider.
