I want control of dome lights with doors are on when entering/exiting the vehicle. Does this switch help with manual control for on and off or is it just a kill switch?
This is for manual control of the lights when the doors are off.

if the switch controls the entire circuit , then it cuts off the footwell lights too , correct?

No, since this goes directedly to the fuse block, the entire circuit is disabled.

No, this does not attach to the door. You only need one because it replaces the factory fuse.
