Reviews for Rugged Ridge 17212.10 13" Stubby Reflex Antenna for 07-23 Jeep Wrangler JL, JK & Gladiator JT
The screw to attach the antenna to the factory receiver for the antenna is to small. Not sure how this is made for a JK if all you have to do is screw it in and the product won't fit. It does come with 2 different screws one in a smaller diameter than the other, but the larger diameter is still too small for a JK, perhaps it fits a JL or Gladiator JT, but if you are purchasing for a JK I would recommend you pick a different product.
Wanted this to work out .. Knew it was a risk and might not work as well as the OEM .. It failed .. I listen to 1021 out of Richmond in the morning and DC 1011 out of DC. Now I'm lucky if I can make out what song is playing on either. Adapter did not want to work either and I ended up running it thru a tapper to get it to thread .. maybe that is why it did not work very well. If you want it for looks its fine .. the function sucked
just tried to install this. it doesn't fit my 2012 wrangler. i need to buy an additional adapter to make this work.
Dont buy if you have a 2013 Jeep Wrangler. Doesn’t fit
Terrible reception and build quality, avoid.
Reception to original antenna got worse. Also the built quality is below expectation - plastic edges could have been smoothed and polished better. I'm going to try the 16" HiPerf antenna from Quadratec, though it has a hefty $40 price tag, which I don't understand for a simple antenna either.
I meant to buy the Quadratec antenna but ordered this one by mistake. Typical Omix-Ada quality. Chipped plastic. The central screw is too long so the components don't fit together well. If have to cut the screw to make it fit, but it's not worth the effort. Skip this one and get the Quadratec version for better quality and fit.
Does not fit the threads. Wrong size as advertised.
Horrible reception. All static
Did not stay on.
