Will this also fit the cj-8 hardtop?
The Crown Automotive 55134536 Hardtop Corner Seal for a CJ-7 is not likely to fit the hardtop of your CJ-8 Scrambler due to the difference in hardtop dimensions between the two models. You will need to find seals specifically designed for the CJ-8 hardtop.

Does this fit on the windshield or in the corner of the hardtop? I purchased a left one and a right one. They are on the correct side but i can't get the hardtop to sit properly with the piece installed. Is there any trimming required? Hard top is original to the Jeep.
These should be installed onto the hardtop directly.

Yes, there is an option list for Left and Right side to choose. They are side specific

These are the front corner seals that are at the windshield frame.
