The shift boot pictured is not the same as what is shipped. I have a 98 TJ Sport and the boot opening for the shifter shaft is aligned differently than the factory one. When installed it pulls the shifter up and to the right, so when you put it into second gear it pops out.

This item when put on it makes second gear pop out of place. the O ring on the bottom of this item is to wide and the plastic how good it is it's way to hard for second gear to manage.
