Reviews for Quadratec QRC Rocker Guards for 87-06 Jeep Wrangler YJ & TJ
These guards are heavy duty. They have 8 bolts to the frame per side. Definitely plan to have an extra set of hands or two to line up and measure everything! We found that getting it close and drilling for one bolt to act as a pivot worked best while we marked the rest. Then pull off to drill out the rest. And I definitely recommend drilling out the holes (as instructed) instead of relying on the self-tappers to do the bulk of the work. The hardware does what it's supposed to do if you use it as intended.
They look great and like the will hold up and protect the Jeep when we put it through its paces!
On the frame not the body
Perfect
Build quality seems heavy duty.
This look is absolutely amazing. Very easy to install. Everything in these photos came from Quadratec. The hardest part of the project was repairing the holes left by my 2006 TJ's fender flair extenders.
love these and besides being east to install they look amazing!
Look and work great, would recommend.
Absolutely beautiful finish nice fit ++
The rocker guards came packaged really well and didn’t have any defects out of the box. Powder coating was great. It has a heavy texture similar to truck bed liner. The texture is nice if you use it as a step. The pipe diameter is good. Flexes when put under weight. Not sure how these would hold up to rocks but for Florida off roading it will do great as our “rocks” are trees and stumps. The bolts it comes with are small/weak. I drilled and tapped holes for 7/16” grade 8 bolts for added strength. All in all I think it’s worth it for the wheeling I do.
Guards are heavy duty and powder coating is excellent. Loses a star because self-tapping bolts are absolute garbage, 1/3rd of them stripped out - the frame of my jeep laughed at the weak metal in these bolts
