I've read that you would need to either upgrade the radio or ad an amplifier to really hear the difference from this upgrade. Is this true?

While many users find that the Kicker 6.75” Deluxe Speaker Upgrade Kit provides a noticeable improvement on its own, it is partially true that an amplifier or new radio is needed to unlock their full potential.
Whether you "need" an amp depends on your current factory setup and what specific audio improvement you are looking for.
Clarity: You will immediately hear a "night and day" difference in mids and highs. The factory paper-cone speakers are notorious for sounding "muddy," whereas the Kicker CS-Series uses neodymium magnets and PEI domes for much sharper detail.
Volume: These speakers have a high sensitivity rating, meaning they can produce more sound with less power. Many owners report they don't have to turn the volume knob as high as they did with the stock speakers to reach the same loudness.
Bass: While the bass becomes tighter and more responsive, it may not feel significantly "deeper" without more power.
The Kicker 6.75 Deluxe Speakers are rated for 100 Watts RMS, but a factory Jeep radio typically only puts out about 15–20 Watts per channel. An Amplifier Solves The Power Gap: Because the speakers can handle much more power than the factory radio provides, adding an amplifier allows them to move more air, which results in fuller, richer bass and clearer sound at highway speeds with the top off.
If you are on a budget, start with the speakers. They are the single biggest bottleneck in the JK's audio system, and most people are satisfied with the jump in clarity alone. If you later decide you want more "punch," you can add a compact power pack like the Alpine KTP-445U, which can hide behind the dash.

I have seen on the reviews that the sound bar and dash speakers are the same even though they have different part numbers, can you clarify that to be true?

Yes. The different part number will include the appropriate installation instructions for where the speakers are mounted. Thanks for your inquiry.

How do these compare to the OEM Mopar Kicker upgrades?

They are much better able to handle added power when making amplifier upgrades and the internal tweeter design will have much better range for a wide variety of styles of music than that of the Mopar Kicker pair. Thanks for your inquiry.

I have seen both 6.5" and 6.75" for the sound bar? Do these require any type of modification or cutting to fit?

These will not require cutting or a modification to fit. Thanks for your inquiry.

I have a 2017 Wrangler JK. I want to install new speakers in the soundbar. With 2-way speakers, do I disconnect my tweeter in the roll bar? Or should I leave it connected?

Hello, you should leave your tweeter connected. Thank you for your question.
