Reviews for Tuffy 333-01 Flip-Up License Plate Holder for Hawse Fairleads
I have to have a front license plate and I wanted one that would flip up if I needed the winch (Warn Zeon Platinum 12-S). Generally happy with it. It works but the bracket is about 1/2" too short so the plate does not hang vertically.
The price is right and it looks like it will work.
They work great unless you have a Factor 55 hook. It still works just sticks out a bit at the bottom but, who doesn't?! Adjustability would be cool...
Made the install easier by hitting the bolt holes with an angle grinder so I could simply loosen and slide it down vs. completely removing the hawse (Tuffy should have done this so 4-stars).
Despite being told otherwise, this fit quite nicely over the (very thick) hawse of a Warn 10s... with at least 1/4" to spare!
Solid product and it arrived a day early. Keep up the good work.
Excellent solution in MA where you need front license plate:(. No rust or corrosion after just getting thru late Winter.
Works great with just the Winch hook installed, Will not fit with line stop or other types of hookups. Bracket needs to be another 3/4 to and inch out from bumper so it will close with Factor 55 Flat Link installed. Other than that it is a quality product and well built and easy install.
Solid product, nice fit and finish, but does not stick out far enough to clear the hook plus AEV isolator on my Warn hawse fairlead.
Works well for a while but mine got VERY rusty and stopped flipping up or down.
Decent idea but needs longer arms on the license flip bracket. I have a hawse fairlead and a Factor 55 Flatlink. The license plate won’t come all the way down because it hits the Flatlink.
