I purchased in 2019 and now some of the lights are goin out. Are the lights replaceable or is it a whole replacement sort of thing?
The lights are replaceable, meaning you do not have to buy a whole new bracket assembly.
You have two excellent paths to fix this:
1. The Lifetime Warranty Route (Highly Recommended First Step)
Kentrol backs their products with a limited lifetime warranty. Because your LED lights are beginning to fail, your best first step is to contact Kentrol directly. In many cases, their customer support team will send out replacement LED lights under warranty at no cost. You can reach out to them at (330) 549-2235
2. Purchase the Replacement LED Set Separately
If you are outside of warranty or want to purchase the replacement part directly, Kentrol sells the exact replacement lights as a standalone kit.
The replacement kit is Kentrol Backside Replacement LEDs (Set) 70738.
This set includes the red rear brake light, white license plate tag light, and the necessary wiring. It is designed to fit Kentrol BackSide mount part numbers 80703 (for the JK) as well as 80707 and 80710.

This license plate relocation bracket has not under gone any DOT or NHTSA approval testing.

Have they corrected the light issue so it’s not blue? I like the product and am interested in buying it but the reviews that the light is light blue and causing traffic stops scares me.
The light emitted from the LED license plate light is white. There are a couple customer submitted photos for example. The blue that the other customers experienced could be from their states license plate design.
