Reviews for Diver Down Front and Rear Neoprene Seat Covers for 07-18 Wrangler JK 2 Door
Easy to install but after 6 months they faded really bad.
Not as nice as I was expecting based on the various things I’d heard about them. They’re alright, but after using them for a few months I wish I’d used the money I spent on these on actual custom fit covers. These try to move around and aren’t very water resistant. They’re already stained and have a couple holes in them. If you’re not getting in and out a lot, and aren’t muddy or wet or dirty when you get in, they’ll probably work fine. Otherwise, I’d recommend biting the bullet and getting some nicer ones.
These are a bit thinner than neoprene covers I have had in the past, and frankly the fit is a bit sloppy. I used these to replace my non-waterproof Bartact covers (which fit like a glove), and I am not sure if I regret it or not. Other than the fit being baggy and gaps between the seat back and bottom seat covers exposing the (outboard) parts of the seats most susceptible to rain, and the head covers' velcro portion being a sloppy fit, I think these covers might fulfill my needs. Only time will tell if I put the Bartact covers back on and scotchguard them. I am a buyer of wetsuits for the dive industry and I will tell you, if you are expecting a wetsuit-like material, you will be disappointed. It may contain neoprene rubber, but that is where the similarity ends. I estimate the neoprene thickness (not counting the foam backing) to be .5mm thick.
I have had these seat covers installed for less than 6 months. Heavy fade. Extremely disappointed. I would not recommend.
Great initial purchase but significantly faded after a year. I replaced them with a different brand.
Excellent fit and quality. They fade quickly tho red seats are now pink :(
Fits great,
They were nice, but faded rather quick. Granted, it was out in the sun a lot, but should have not starting fading in less than a month, by 5 or 6 weeks it was totally faded.
Almost perfect. But the one imperfection, sadly, has me re-thinking my choice.
I got the red Diver Downs for my 2017 Wrangler JK 2 Door.
The Pros: Great quality, soft, relatively easy to install, they look AMAZING.
The Cons: The passenger bottom seat cover does NOT fit well on a 2017 JK. There is an awkward rear flap on the outer bottom seat with a hook that can't connect anywhere. I've tried connecting to several makeshift places with no success. I appreciate the hook, but I spend 30 minutes trying to find a place I could hook it in and secure the panel.
Because of this issue, my front passenger seat bottom portion of the cover looks like garbage. They no longer give the illusion of custom seats with this area loose and flapping in the wind. Sadly, those who I ride shotgun with see this massive design flaw (see what I mean in the "Customer Submitted Photos".
Almost perfect, but imperfect enough to at least consider other options for late model JKs.
They look pretty cool can't wait to get them but been on backorder for 2 weeks . Hope to get them soon .
