What should be used to attach this?
The seal will have a pre-installed adhesive. Cleaning the surface well with an isopropyl alcohol and applying the seal in a heated garage will better allow the adhesive to cure when installing. Thanks for your inquiry.

My soft top jeep has a weatherstrip piece that sounds like this one. It is snapped on the top of the tailgate and helps seal the tailgate to the soft top. Will this work on the tailgate with my soft top? My seal is damaged on both ends and needs to be replaced.
The seal you may be referencing is attached to a tailgate retainer bar. The seal mounted to them, is not serviced separately. This is a bar we offer that will have the bulb seal attached. Tailgate retainer bar Thanks for your inquiry.

This is the straight seal along the bottom of the hardtop glass. The seal around the lift gate glass is 55006.0015
