I ordered These Kicker Premium Upgrade Speakers last August and finally got around to installing them today. They sound so much better than my old and worn-out stock speakers and I'm happy with the look, but did have a couple of issues during the install.
The 8 x 6-32 Pan Head Screws in the kit were not 6-32 and were not black. Since I waited so long to open the kit and install, Ii happily went to Ace Hardware to pick up the correct size and color, but then after mounting the Adapter Plates, found neither the 6-32 screws I had purchased, nor the silver screws that arrived with the kit fit into the mounting holes. So off to my drill to enlarge the holes in the adapter plates and got everything tightly connected. Really just a small issue, and easily corrected with a drill bit but disappointing.

Improvement over factor speaker but only by about 10%. I have to hard top off the jeep. Probably see more improvement with the hard top back on. Without the top off there is too much road noise. Can barely hear stereo while going 60 mph. Speaker do have better low bass sound. Im thinking adding a small amplifier will make the speakers perform much better. Very easy to install.

Sound good, s little hard to install. Some parts not right. Overall satisfied.

The hardware to attach the speakers to the adapter plates was poor-quality. The bolts wouldn’t thread into the holes and broke once they started. Ended up drilling the holes slightly larger and using better hardware. Luckily I have a late build date 02 so I was able to swap connections from the front dash speakers with these since I’ve got the odd combo of 03-06 front and 97-02 rear speaker setup.

NOT PLUG AND PLAY! SO PREDICTABLE. I have the original harness and speakers and the connectors dont match. Screws are not right size nor length for sound bar adapter ring.
