Reviews for Quadratec Aluminum Modular Front Sway Bar Skid Plate for 10-18 Jeep Wrangler JK
Awesome and better protection than the cheep plastic guard Jeep puts on. Much lighter over the steel options.
Very well made and light. I have a Spartacus front bumper and was not sure if it would fit. I took a chance, and it fits perfectly, no modifications required. The install is very easy and took maybe 20-30 mins. I like te look and the protection it offers the disconnect on my JKR. I could have done without the big Quadratec logo imprinted on the front, but once installed, you have to be close to see it.
The only issue I had was trying to get my finger in the frame rail to hold the backing plate for the upper bolt for the brackets. Other than that everything was straightforward. Excellent product.
Very quick shipping! Got item the day after I ordered. The front skid plate went on in about 15 min and all hardware looks good. Works great with my Vijay front bumper.
Awesome replacement for the flimsy plastic OEM, I used this with a JCR Dagger front bumper and love the looks!
Fits like stock plastic piece. Good build quality, easy installation. Would recommend.
easy installation and looks great!
I took a chance that this would fit the Tactik front bumper on my JKU. It does fit and looks great! Great quality. Very easy to install.
Purchased this skid plate for my 2012 JK not knowing if it would actually work with my aftermarket Warn Elite Front Bumper.
To my surprise, it fit beautifully without any modifications whatsoever. Do be advised, you have to keep all bolts loosened until you get the skid plate in place. Once you get it adjusted and positioned where you want it, torque all the bolts down and your done !! Took me no more than about 20 minutes by myself to do the install.
Couldn’t be happier with the look, and best of all, the added protection !!
A very good quality product. Everything that I was hoping for. The only thing that maybe should be mentioned is that if you have a towbar baseplate there may be considerable modification required. I needed to cut slots in the front of the skid plate to allow for the baseplate arms to pass through. This was expected. But I also needed to modify the mounting brackets to allow for the 5/8" baseplate mounting bolt. And I needed to modify the baseplate mounting bracket by drilling a 1/2" hole in each end for the skidplate mounting bracket. Still, completely pleased.
