Can the tinted panels be purchased and swapped out for the clear if I don't like the clear ?
Yes, you can absolutely purchase tinted panels and swap them out later.
The zipperless channel-insert design on the JL Wrangler soft top makes removing and swapping individual window panels incredibly easy. If you start with clear windows and decide you want more privacy or shade, you can buy a set of Mopar tinted replacement windows and slide them directly into your existing sailcloth top.
You have two main ways to buy them:
Individual Mopar Replacement Panels: You can purchase the replacement tinted quarter and rear window panels individually.
Complete 3-Piece Window Kits: Retailers sell factory-match Mopar 2-Door Tinted Replacement Window Kits that bundle both rear quarter windows and the back window together.
Note: Just make sure you match the fabric type when buying replacements. Because this is the standard Sailcloth (Vinyl) kit, you will want to purchase standard "Black Diamond Sailcloth" replacement windows rather than the heavier "Premium Twill" windows to ensure the materials and colors match perfectly.

I have lost the screws to install the soft top
How do I re-order them?
You can purchase the replacements seperately on Quadratec.com:
Main Bow/Header Screws (Part #68399007AA): These attach the soft top bows to the folding side rails and are also used in the front header channel. You'll need 4 to 6 of these.
Sport Bar Bracket Bolts (Part #06512230AA): These are used to attach the soft top mounting brackets to the Jeep's roll bar (sport bar). You need 4 total.
Door Surround Screws (Part #06512163AA): These secure the door surround frames to the vehicle. They often come with a built-in washer. You need 4 total for a 2-door model (8 for a 4-door).
Folding Mechanism Screws (Part #68399056AA): Used for various attachment points on the main folding arms.You need 2 (one per side)

What r the two straps that r packed with the Velcro straps for? They have a snap button on them
The elastic straps with the buttons are to suspend the rear window when it is rolled up at the back while you are driving

Does this work on a 2017 Wrangler 2 door?

Will there be any after market alternatives to the Mopar OEM top. I like the way the old JKs had a top that folded down lower. This looks like the mechanism restricts how far the top will get fold out of rear view window site.

Jeep has exclusive rights until around 2021. After that we will see more companies have folding top options that can improve on the design and function.
