Reviews for Quadratec 16" Hi Performance AM/FM Stubby Antenna for 07-23 Jeep Wrangler JL, JK & Gladiator JT
I wanted to love this antenna. Looks great. Simple to install. Unfortunately reception deteriorated markedly vs. the stock antenna on my 2018 JLU. I'm 30 miles from the 93.3FM transmitter in Philly and that is the station I usually listen to in my area. Comes in crystal clear and loud using the stock antenna. With the Stubby Hi Performance Antenna I have all kinds of static, signal fading in & out, and max volume is about 12dB less than with the stock antenna. Perhaps I received a faulty unit, not really sure. But I swapped back and will be returning this one. Too bad because it LOOKS fantastic.

Factory OEM Gladiator JEEP 2023 antenna is superior to this 16" "stubby". In the foot hills of MT HOOD and Columbia Gorge , Oregon, FM/AM signals can strain or week due to Topo layout of Cascade peaks and gulches. Spending 80% time in the mountains, we know exactly where the weak signal areas are for Radio, Cell Phones, and GPS. We put it on and Immediately the reception was sub-standard and poor. Having made living commercial fishing on the Pacific Ocean, reception is understood very well. Don't get this if you are not in strong FM/AM signal area. We Filled out RETURN but decided to keep antenna and give it away after looking at return policy. Disappointing!
Reception was good but first trip through the car was took it out. Take this one off if you are using a car wash.
Loss of signal for me. Looks good, but I live near the coast and the few stations I was able to receive with the factory antenna were much weaker with this 'upgrade'. I wanted to like it, but function is more important than fashion. Do not recommend.
looks great but the reception is really poor. Since i have sxm radio i just left it on for the look
Antenna is made of good quality but the FM reception is pretty bad. Once installed replace the OEM antenna, the reception became worse the before. Based on other reviews, I thought it would improve or at least stay the same but that was not the case.

Looks good but lost reception.
Looks great, easy install BUT mine broke at the base (fiberglass?) where the antenna connects to the metal base after 4 months. Not sure how it happened since it had not been off road and maybe went through a carwash 3 times. Disappointed in the quality....
