I'm running the stock HU and Amp. Wow! What an improvement over the stock subwoofer! The OEM subwoofer was muddy and thick sounding. This Quadratec 8" subwoofer delivers sharp, precise base! The interior of my 2 door JK radiates low frequencies now. Easy peasy installation to boot! Nice job Quadratec!

Direct replacement

I bought this speaker as a replacement for the one that had simply worn out. Very easy to install, looks much better than the OEM speaker and sounds better too.

Improvements in the Material Quality and Weatherproofing of the
Quadratec - Subwoofer.

Perfect fit and upgrade. Radio sounds so much better now without all the static coming from the stock sub that took me 26yrs to replace. All other speakers were replaced years back through Quadratec. They are the only place I could find a direct fitment for the stock sub box.
