Will this mopar locking gas cap fit a 2024 wrangler Sahara? Gas model. 2 Jeep dealers said will not fit 2024 model. They say fits diesel only!! What is the true answer? I need one. But if not fit will the normal locking cap for 2024 work. The one not using Jeep ignition key.

At the moment no, unfortunately Mopar only offers the standard locking version of the gas cap that uses a key separate from the ignition fob.
Is there a difference between the Diesel on and the gas in how its made my wife bought me the diesel one by accident but it looks exactly the same as the gas but just says diesel only
Yes, Diesel filler bezels have a larger diameter opening for larger fuel pumps, so you can't accidentally put diesel in your gas tank. This larger opening will not accept the narrow cap from gas models

I already have this product but the plastic tether broke. Is there a way to order just the tether for this keyed locking gas cap?
Unfortunately the locking gas cap does not have a serviceable tether.
