Reviews for Tuffy Security Console Insert for 18-23 Jeep Wrangler JL & Gladiator JT

Product seems well built and gives me an securer place to store items while running Jeep topless or naked. One thing to note is that Jeep made a change to the console for some 21 JLU causing some brackets in this kit to be wrong. I called Tuffy they were hearing reports of that and got new brackets made and sent them out, expedited too! Great Customer Service on the product which is the biggest reason for the 5 stars.

Tough to install but I expected that and probably makes it even more secure. Very happy. Seems very secure.

perfect very easy install . I did not discard the bottom pad like they show in the video . I just cut the pad out that is under the feet of the supports

If you need somewhere to secure your valuables while going topless/doorless, this kit works perfectly. Another reviewer stated that the instructions were poor but I disagree. I found the instructions very simple to understand. It’s possible they have been updated since that review. Installation is easy enough, but it certainly helps to have smaller hands.

Super easy to install and very secure. You do loose some storage as the hinged security door's opening is small, but works well for its intended purpose.

Great product, easy to install (with the help of some small fingers) and very secure. Living topless in Florida, this is a must have.

Very secure. Install was really quite easy....not sure why others have had trouble. I'm 6'3" and about 275 lbs with big meat hooks for hands and only had a slight challenge getting the correct tension on the lid closing bracket. Everything else was quite easy. Very happy with the product so far. Costa sunglasses will be safe again.

As described, the instructions were a bit weak, the working area pretty tight, but overall a good fit and fairly secure box. Make no mistake, this will not stop the motivated thief, but for the casual change surfer or smash and grabber, this should do the job.

It's a bit of a tricky assembly and install, but WELL WORTH the time & effort. GREAT place to lock a few things up safely. (i.e. Wireless Winch Remote, Garmin Handheld GPS, etc.)

One HINT: If you plan to use a USB cord coming out of the console, install it during the assembly. If you wait until after you've assembled the metal console, you'll find you can't get to the plugin-socket inside the console.
