Description
Looking for some added clearance to fit bigger tires that will help you hit the trails harder in your Jeep Wrangler JL? AEV’s 2-Inch Spacer Suspension System will provide clearance for 35” tires on the Sport and Sahara models or 37” tires on the Rubicon model with aftermarket wheels. As a cost effective option this spacer lift kit is made from high quality polyurethane and e-coated and powder coated brackets suitable for daily drivers and off-road Jeeps. With such an easy installation reusing the factory tuned shocks will retain on road ride quality without sacrificing off-road capability. Installing the included harness allows you operate the ProCal Snap right from your factory stereo display and steering wheel controls to calibrate for the different tire size. It will even work to calibrate a change in axle and transfer case gear ratios.

Will this work with stock wheels and a 37x11.50 tire?
No, this setup will not work with stock wheels without modifications.
According to American Expedition Vehicles (AEV), running a 37-inch tire with the AEV Spacer Lift for 2018+ JL Wrangler has specific clearance requirements:
Wheel Spacers or Aftermarket Wheels Required: Factory JL wheels do not have the proper backspacing to clear a tire this wide (11.50 inches or wider) without rubbing against the control arms or suspension components at full turn. You will need to add wheel spacers or switch to aftermarket wheels with proper backspacing.
Rubicon vs. Sport/Sahara: While the AEV Spacer Lift for 2018+ JL Wrangler officially accommodates up to a 37x12.50R17 tire on Rubicon models (and 35s on Sport/Sahara), the factory wheel offset constraint still applies.
Trimming: Minor plastic trimming around the inner fender liners may also be necessary depending on your exact wheel specs and articulation.

Will this work on a 2021 jeep rubicon xtreme recon package so i could put 37 on any other parts needed as the recon is already lifted
No, this kit explicitly excludes Xtreme Recon models.
Because the Xtreme Recon package already comes with a factory suspension lift from Mopar, adding this 2-inch spacer kit on top of it can over-extend components, alter factory suspension geometry incorrectly, and cause clearance or handling issues.

I have a 2025 Jeep Rubicon JL Unlimited with the factory "Performance Suspension".
Will this kit add 2" to the factory lift height that the Performance Suspension provides?
Is this kit fully compatible with my Method wheels (17x8.5 - 5x127 mm (5x5 in) / Offset = 0 mm / Backspace = 4.80 in and my BF Goodrich K02's 315/70R17?
Can I fit 37’s without modifications with this setup?
Do I need to install the provided AEV's ProCal SNAP module if I plan on installing the Z Automotive Tazer JL Mini in the future?
Lift Height: Yes, it adds a true 2 inches over your factory setup. If your factory "Performance Suspension" sits slightly higher or different than a base model, the spacers add their full height on top of whatever baseline stance you currently have.
Wheel & Tire Compatibility: Yes, your Method wheels (17x8.5, 0mm offset, 4.80" backspace) and BFGoodrich KO2 315/70R17 (35s) are fully compatible with this kit. The 0mm offset and 4.80" backspace provide the proper clearance required by AEV.
Fitting 37s: On a Rubicon JL Unlimited, you can physically fit 37x12.50R17 tires with this kit, but you may experience rubbing at full steering lock or full suspension compression depending on your exact wheel off-road articulation. AEV officially recommends 35s for the best clearance without modification, though many run 37s on Rubicons with this lift. A suspension lift kit as well as appropriately backspaced wheels are recommended for tire sizes over 35" to clear the frame and suspension components.
